60th Annual British Microcirculation Society Meeting

Welcome to the 60th Annual British Microcirculation Society Meeting, Peninsula Medical School, Exeter, UK

We are delighted to invite you to attend the 60th Annual Conference of the BMS. Topics covered at previous BMS meetings include:

  • Vascular adhesion molecules
  • Stem Cells
  • Tumour microcirculation
  • Leukocyte / Platelet biology
  • Inflammation
  • Lymphatics
  • Vascular permeability
  • Microcirculation in diabetes
  • Endothelial cell biology
  • Angiogenesis
  • Regulation of flow

The conference incorporates a designated symposium on 'Diabetic microangiopathy – old players, new contenders’ with leading international experts invited to present their work over the course of the two day meeting. Oral and poster communications selected from submitted abstracts will also be presented and subsequently published in the journal Microcirculation. The free communications and symposium constitute the Main Scientific Meeting on Monday and Tuesday, 19th and 20th April 2010.


Competitive funding will be available to encourage young investigators to attend the meeting. In addition, there will also be one Moor Instruments and two promoCell funded poster prizes of £100 each. Promocell will also be funding the BMS Clinical Lecture to be delivered by Professor Sir John Tooke.
